I'd pay $10k right now for this. The fact that he paid $40 is insane. One of my favorite cars but not for that kind of money. Also if it's in Hawaii, you're looking at big money to get it anywhere else in the US.

Mine was in line with other 04 models you'll find on AutoTrader. Early ones are in the 60s, I think! Best years are 02-04, though, and those will run 70s-90s.

Awesome car, but that price is 100% CP. If he found the biggest BMW fan in the world, maybe, maybe $20,000. At a certain point, you might as well just park the damn think in a museum. I remember when I visited Motorcars of Georgia they had about a 1979 Ford Thunderbird with less than a thousand miles on it, if I recall correctly. They were asking $40k for that, too.

I thought enthusiast auto had a right of first refusal buyback clause with all of their sales? Does anyone know how it works exactly? Is there an agreed upon price that you must sell it back to them first?? Anyone know?

That's a sweet E38, but all E38s are depreciating assets. I'd give him no more than what Demuro is willing to give him and even then, I'd buy something else.
I hope he has a 1M or S54 clownshoe. Those are Bimmers worth paying a pretty penny for.
